Duty Log:
After installing some equipment on Ircassia Xiii we were returning to Galileo Station when we noticed we were being followed by 5 ships. Yellow Alert was called and upon one of the ships getting closer it was identified as a Cardassian Cruiser with 4 scout ships from the separate faction called Wings of the Night. It was Captained by Gul Lotek Bar. Gul Lotek Bar hailed us and Captain Roffo answered and requested his identification and why they were following us. Gul Lotek Bar immediately ordered our surrender and they would be boarding our ship for the glory of the Wings of the Night. I then called Red Alert as per regulations of an obvious threat to ship and crew.
Captain Roffo was at first confused and did not believe Lotek Bar but the Cardassian assured us he was serious. Comms were paused and Captain Roffo gave Cmdr Oola navigation orders while Cmdr Narek and Lt. Flamand scanned the Cardassian vessels to see how much of a threat to us they were. It turned out we far out gunned them.
So Captain Roffo came up with a strategy for a show of force to back the Cardassians off. After a bit of back and forth I ordered Cmdr Oola Quan to initiate the Captain's maneuver and we fired shots on the Cardassian ships causing significant but non lethal damage. It backed them off and we returned to our course toward Galileo.
Commendations go out to both Ft. Cpt Dolfke Barbosa and Cmdr Oola Quan for their amazing skills and cool in this confrontation.
