Intelligence log - USS Feynman
The ship had to deal with its first missing crewmember. The synthetic engineer assigned to the ship was not present for duty so the Captain tasked the crew to locate the missing man. I conducted a series of interviews with the crew to determine if anyone had seen him prior to his going AWOL.
It was determined that the synth was not able to process a statement made in jest as such, and took a shuttle to fulfill what he took as an order. It was also determined this happened outside of duty hours and alcohol was involved. The conversation basically convinced the synth to go dance on the moon Io (moon of Sol-V).
The ship located the shuttle on Anubis. It had crashed on the surface near a Federation comms outpost. The crewman was recovered, the shuttle was a total loss.
I made a recommendation to station security to review clearance protocols for all personnel to restrict access to shuttles and critical ship or station systems to prevent future incidents.

As misinterpreted jesting statements goes, I can imagine a lot worse. Glad it was resolved painlessly all around.
