I have instigated a full search protocol for our new NOVA419 Engineering android Paul. He has been missing several days. We have only been in possession of this droid for a week. Intel has been instructed to survey the crew for a last sighting. Science has beamed down to the Galileo to interrogate a companion Nova419 droid Pauline for insights about the programming quirks of this series; Security are scanning video footage; Ops is tracing the ship's digital trail and other crew are conducting extensive searches of Feynman and Galileo.
Captain's Log | SD130129.633 – Supplemental
The USS Tyson droid, Pauline Nova419, indicated that the Paul droid is still in LCPM (Learning-Curve Protocols Mode) and will have taken any order or instruction literally. Ensign Underall established that Paul took a shuttle from the Maintenance Bay at Sarlea Spaceport two days ago. Commander Dagger further established that he was last seen at a party where his inebriated Captain told him to do a "Moondance" and replied "Io" when he asked which moon. I've called all bridge crew back to the Feynman for a retrieval mission. (Note to self: androids, alcohol and irony do not mix!)
Captain's Log | SD130129.989 – Supplemental-2
We recovered our Nova419 "dad-dancing" beside the strewn wreckage of his shuttlecraft outside the Federation Comms station on the ice planet Anubis. He was undamaged but nearing the end of his battery charge. He was attempting to fly to Jupiter's moon Io in the solar system. At warp 2 we estimate this journey would have taken 58.875 years. He indicated that the shuttle's deflector shields were damaged on the edge of an asteroid field and he crashed attempting to land to affect repairs. I have ordered engineering to fit him with a locator beacon of the "dog collar" variety.
