\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I have been ordered to proceed to the Lyonesse sector accompanied by the USS Feynman to replace two existing fleet units, the Venture and the Yamato. Both of these units will return to earth spacedock to be refitted after their three-year assignment to Starbase Galileo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We will be under the overall command of Admiral Scrumptious, who I know only by reputation as a competent commander\/ Admiral Scrumptious is also newly arrived at the colony so Captain Soulstar and I need to meet with her as soon as practical.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A third unit, the USS Shogun, newly commissioned, is approximately twenty days behind us and will also be joining the ships assigned to the Lyonesse sector.\u00a0 Captain Roffo has been newly promoted to Captain the Shogun and has been with the Shogun throughout the commissioning process. I look forward to meeting him when he joins us.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I have also been assigned to take command of Starbase Galileo with Captain Soulstar of the Feynman as my deputy. This will be a new role for me, but I am confident Captain Soulstar and I can satisfy the Admiral\u2019s requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When we arrive in a few hours, I expect to meet with my crew at the Galileo Station. Then we\u2019ll begin the work of evaluating the station\u2019s condition to ensure all significant outstanding items are dealt with.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0My Chief Medical Officer, Commander Markus will be conducting a review of all medical records.\u00a0 We have received in transit advisories from Starfleet Command that there has been an outbreak of Bollian beetle flu. Starfleet expects that ships docking at Galileo may infect the crew, so everyone must be inoculated.\u00a0 I expect Doctor Markus to complete this with her usual level of competence.<\/span><\/p>\n
