We met as usual in the Command room aboard the USS Einstein.<\/span><\/div>\n
Capt Bravin recapped what had happened after we beamed down to the planet Ceti Alpha……..with Lt Godard disappearing\u00a0after touching what turned out to be an alien portal, which took him to another reality. A few minutes later he returned looking much older.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n
We then discussed what we should (if anything) about the alien do about the alien portal, as we were concerned that that if left alone, any unsuspecting visitors might be taken through the portal to the other reality. Similarly the portal could be used by unwelcome visitors to use the portal to come to our reality.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Various suggestions were made and the merits of each were discussed.<\/span><\/div>\n
We finally decided to return to the planet’s surface and put a forcefield around the portal, along with a detector that would alert us if anyone did come through the portal. Finally,\u00a0we would place a warning beacon in orbit above the planet.<\/span><\/div>\n

We then went to the Transporter Room and beamed back down to the planet<\/span><\/div>\n

On arriving back on the island, we made our way to the area where we had discovered the portal.<\/span><\/div>\n
However on our arrival, we were shocked to find that the portal had disappeared\u00a0!<\/span><\/div>\n
We could only speculate on what had happened to the portal and why it had disappeared.<\/span><\/div>\n
We decided to leave the detector where the Portal had been, in case it might return – and then we beamed back to the ship.<\/span><\/div>\n

Once we were back on board the ‘Einstein, we made our way to the Bridge and took up our stations.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
When all was ready, we left orbit, then set course for Galileo Station and went to warp.<\/span><\/div>\n
