At the Mission Briefing aboard the USS Tyson, Captain Maven informed us that a shuttle-craft had arrived at Galileo Station – and that its sole occupant had asked for help. He had come from a colony on a planet called New Japan, some 24 light years away –\u00a0 where it seems that the colony had split into two warring factions. Some of the colonists wanted to get away from the conflict and the oppressive servitude lifestyle that had been imposed on them.\u00a0<\/span>
Our Mission was to go to New Japan and offer assistance to those who wished to leave the colony, without interfering with the ongoing conflict.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0After discussing how we might proceed, we went to the Bridge and set off for New Japan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On our arrival, we contacted both Shogun\u00a0leaders involved in the conflict – seeking their permission to meet with them to discuss the situation.\u00a0Our Landing Party did not receive the warmest of welcomes, but at least managed\u00a0to obtain some good information, before beaming back to the ship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We returned to the Colony the following day, where with a bit of subterfuge, our Landing Party was able to return to the ship with one of the Shogun’s concubines – from whom we obtained vital information about the colonists who wished to leave. We returned and informed the Shogun that his concubine had contracted a nasty infectious disease (which wasn’t true) and that we had brought special protective bracelets for everyone – which we were quickly given permission to distribute. This was also not true, in that the bracelets didn’t afford any such protection. Instead, those colonists who we had now identified as wishing to leave, were given bracelets that would act as a beacon for our Transporters, whereas similar looking dummy bracelets were given out to the Shogun and his guards.<\/span>
Our Landing Party was beamed back up to the ship, quickly followed by those colonists wishing to leave – who once on board requested asylum.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We then set course back to Galileo\u00a0Station and left New Japan – much to the annoyance of the Shogun.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
