After a second sighting of a mystery ship as we explored the abandoned station, Captain Roffo ordered us to leave orbit and deploy some buoys as advanced warning. With Lacy Underall at the helm, we quickly finished that goal. I was at comms and picked up some unusual chatter on a radio frequency which the UT was unable to translate. Nothing on subspace frequencies, but we did detect 2 ships nearby. As a precaution, Captain Roffo ordered shield raised. I continued monitoring "chatter" although had no luck with translation.
